Previously referred to as CCTV, Digital Video Systems (DVS) have become a required component to fight crime. With the continuing reduction in the cost of processing and storage of video data DVS is providing very affordable evidence that is undeniable in court.

Edmond Security offers an Internet video solution that lets you view, manage, and store video remotely using any broadband internet connection. Smartphones can provide a live view with pan tilt controls in 1-3 seconds with a data connection. Mega pixel cameras can provide a HD view that maintains detail when you zoom into a recorded image.

While Edmond Security provides remote video monitoring, our customers are finding that they can view their properties and determine the proper course of action, reduce false alarm and increase the possibility of capturing the perpetrators.

One of the most exciting video /alarm solutions available today is VIDEOFIED. This monitoring platform utilizes totally wireless equipment (including power), cellular for communication, even key fobs for remote arm/disarm functions. When armed if there is unauthorized entry via a door an alarm is sent to the central station, if there is movement in view of the motion it will be captured on a 10 second video clip and sent for verification by the operator. This clip can be automatically forwarded to an email for owner verification before dispatch. Fire Monitoring

Monitored Smoke and Heat Detectors are important to any commercial fire alarm system. If the devices detect smoke or fire, the control panel will send a signal to our UL Listed Monitoring Station. When our trained operators receive the signal, they will immediately notify the fire department for dispatch.

Alarm Monitoring

System monitoring and proper response IS your security system.

ESI prides itself in full system testing, a complete end user training session, quality control supervisor follow up, and a data entry protocol for accuracy before going “on-line”. Monitoring of your security system is what provides for a 10 - 20% insurance discount. Understand; the discount is for USING your alarm, not just having it. There is a warranty clause in your insurance policy that requires you to use the system to receive the discount.

Today we are seeing the end of POTS (plain old telephone service). Copper land lines will soon be a thing of the past. New technology includes cellular and internet connections.

Cellular comes in many forms, a simple back-up path for POTS and internet, a primary path with capability for remote programming, and a new fire approved communication platform that utilizes a polling function to monitor a continuous connection.

Internet monitoring utilizes polling as well. Edmond Security has found this method sometimes creates an unacceptable number of nuisance alarms when your internet provider disrupts service to perform maintenance on their network duplicating a “cut line”. This internet connection is how we deliver a virtual keypad and digital video to your Smartphone giving you total control of your security system.
